Glaze a pot for Mom: Saturday, April 30, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Walk In Art Center, 220 Parkway, Schuylkill Haven. The artists at WIAC will burn it and put it in an organza bag with the soil and seeds and tie it with a bow. The cost is $25. Register early, there are only limited places available. artist market: Walk In Art Center, 220 Parkway, Schuylkill Haven, is open Saturdays from 1pm to 5pm and features the work of 19 studio artists as well as the work of nearly 30 associated artists.

Riverlands Wildflower/Wetland Hike: Robin Tracey will lead the walk on Saturday 30th April at the Riverlands in Berwick. The trail is 5 miles long and easy. It runs alongside the Susquehanna River, two ponds and a large wetland. Participants will meet at the Tuscarora State Park Visitor Center at 9:30 a.m. to carpool or at 10:30 a.m. at the Riverlands Educational Building, 634 Salem Blvd., Berwick. Bring lunch and water. “The Doctor’s Son”: John O’Hara’s short story about the 1918 flu epidemic will be the subject of a meeting of the Schuylkill County Historical Society and the T102 Local Reads book club.
